We've launched the beginning of an open and free advertising network. It's called Open Ads by Upviber. Any post here at Upviber is a part of the network. Webmasters can place a snippet of code on a webpage, and the Open Ads widget will appear, advertising various Upviber posts far and wide!
In case you don't know, many Upviber posts are simply a link to another website/webpage elsewhere on the internet. And so in a way, they are already like an advertisement. This step makes it so that they can be displayed on any website.
We'll see where this goes. We thought that it could really freak out the advertising industry if we offered a free advertising network. It's a pretty crazy idea not to make money from what are essentially ads. But hey, we're crazy. Crazy about spreading good vibes!
