Quote from Clara J on May 11, 2025, 3:40 pmGenerative Pre-trained Transformers, huh? They’re pretty intriguing. It’s amazing to see how something like this can hold conversations and help out with all sorts of tasks. But at the same time, I wonder about the deeper effects on how we think and communicate. It's like, we have this tool that can mimic human language, but does it take away from the rawness of human interaction? Or is it just another way to enhance creativity and get things done faster?
I’m not sure where it all leads, but I think it’s worth thinking about. What we gain and what we might lose in the process.
What’s your take on it?

Quote from Aprilpad on May 11, 2025, 4:13 pmAs a kid, I wrote an essay for my general science teacher about the new world of tomorrow. Here are the things I believed would happen
- I believed they would create a small airplane to stay beside the moon and eliminate landlines.
- Hospitals would soon become obsolete as a new cell-repairing tank would remove all illnesses, and rich people would own their own tanks. It would ring the end of death.
- Lastly, I believed that walkie-talkies would eventually become smart enough to operate independently.
Although only 2 of the dreams became reality (Smartphones powered by satellite and AI), I still believe that we can eliminate hospitals. Thanks o AI, it is even more closer than before. Scientists have been able to de-age animals such as rats and restore vision and youth. Forever young. The end of death. AI

Quote from Billy Wilcosky on May 11, 2025, 8:29 pmThat’s my hope as well. That one day AI helps to cure more diseases and help people live longer if they’d like.
Another idea is that everyone could have a custom AI chat after they die. Then your loved ones could always chat with you.
